40 Years?!?! Seriously? I don't feel that old...until I walk by a mirror.
Let's see...40 years...(cue flashback) Attended Cornell College for a (very) short time. When that didn't work out, I enlisted in the Air Force. Spent my stint doing computer maintenance inside Cheyenne Mountain. After that, back to good old ISU and a computer engineering degree. Followed the job market to Chicago. Somewhere in there was a marriage that gave me my oldest, Tanya.
Ok, I guess I am old; my granddaughter will start at Ames High this fall.

Job-hopping around Chicago during the 80's where I met this cute little suburban lady named Vicky who, against her better judgement, agreed to marry me. We've been together going on 29 years now, living the suburban dream: two kids (Kyle and Katie), two cars, two dogs. Vicky is assistant to the AD at Elmhurst College. Kyle was just married and Katie is in pharmacy school.

I've worked for various companies over the years, trying to get the computers to do what I mean, not what I say. Even acquired a Master's along the way. I joined NAVTEQ in 2000 which was acquired by Nokia in 2007.

Now that the flashback has faded into the present, I will say that I am looking forward to seeing all of you. I will also be asking your names since my failing memory probably will not recognize you.
