Many thanks to all the organizers of this reunion! Unfortunately I will not be able to attend due to a previous family commitment, but hope that everyone has a great time in Ames.

I live with Julie, my wife of 29 years, in Washington, DC. I just retired from the USDA where I was a veterinarian for the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service for over 30 years. I worked on livestock disease control and eradication efforts both domestically and internationally, including an assignment to the White House to assist in planning for an influenza pandemic. We have no children, but do have several nieces and nephews (including a rising sophomore, rising senior, and a 2013 grad of Ames High), and one grand nephew. Julie continues to work (for the US Department of Transportation) so we will likely be staying in DC for the near future. But I hope to get back to Ames more often now that I am "at leisure" to do so.
